Dinner and A Show

by j3nn on November 22, 2010

We’re back in NY, but I’m going to do my Vegas updates one at a time being there’s so much to catch up on. :)

On Tuesday, we went to dinner and a show with my aunt and uncle. Our dinner destination was Chef Emeril Lagasse’s Delmonico Steakhouse and our show tickets were for Cirque De Soleil Mystère at Treasure Island.

I bought a really cute dress and wrap the day before when I went shopping along the strip with Aunt Gina, which I decided to wear that evening.

Dustin and me in my aunt and uncle’s hotel room…

Dustin and Brian…

Aunt Gina wasn’t cooperating with my picture-taking :( lol

We walked to Delmonico, which happened to be right across the street from their hotel. Very convenient and time-saving.

We arrived around 5:15PM, so it was pretty quiet in there. Our show started at 7:00PM, though, so we opted to eat earlier. I would have preferred to eat afterward, but the others voted for sooner than later.

The fellas…

Warm, soft dinner roll…

…and butter.

I ordered Emeril’s BBQ Salmon with Potato and Andouille Sausage Hash, Spicy Onion Crust and Homemade Worcestershire. It was divine!

I shared half of it with my uncle, I was actually quite satisfied from just the dinner roll and about 1/3 of this dish. Not to mention 2 glasses of mineral water. :P

Dustin had the boneless rib eye steak, cooked medium, with a twice-baked potato. He graciously shared a few bites with me and, wow, both were amazing!! The rest of our table ordered steaks, too. I was the odd chick out. ;)

The Cirque De Soleil show was spectacular! If you think you are in shape, you might reconsider after seeing their performance, LOL. WoW! I have never felt so sloth-like as I did watching the acrobatics in that show. It was truly breathtaking and very inspiring. Their feather-light movements and awe-inspiring body maneuvers were unlike anything I have ever seen on stage. We had front row seats, so aunt Gina was called upon to participate in parts of the comedy skits. It was very enjoyable, I’d like to see some of the other versions of it.

We had a lovely evening, with a mix of great food and company. Can’t ask for much more! :)

We left my aunt + uncle at their hotel a little early in the evening, then headed back to our hotel, changed, and went back out to play poker. Needless to say, we slept in the next day. Fun overload, lol. :D

More Vegas updates to come!
