Apparently DreamHost was having routing issues yesterday, so a bunch of blogs (and other sites) were down, including mine. Thankfully everything is back to normal! After working in the Internet industry for over a decade, I’m no longer surprised by downtime. I’ve come to almost expect it now and then. It’s just how the cookie crumbles. In the past 10 years, a little burp like that was virtually nothing compared to some serious—and costly—meltdowns I have seen. Trust me on this, lol.
Blog insurance: Our software and web development company does monthly WordPress blog backups. Feel free to contact me if you’re interested in having your blog backed up each month. I really can’t stress enough how important it is to have a backup of your blog, especially if it contributes to your income.
Catching up on posts? Here are some of the most recent ones:

I owe many thanks to my very nice and considerate mom for just about everything I ate yesterday. She grilled chicken tenderloin and made rice, so all I had to do for dinner was steam some veggies and reheat the chicken and nice rice! Yay! Easy-peasy.
I added some butter to the rice when I reheated it. Holy yum!
And tossed the veggies and chicken in 1 TBSP coconut aminos (soy sauce substitute) and 1 TBSP apricot fruit spread.
Absolutely delicious!!! Best (frozen) sugar snap pea mix I have ever had from Hannaford. They were very generous with the sugar snap peas. Yum!
Mom’s niceness didn’t stop at chicken + rice! Check out this note that I found next to doughy presents on the counter:
Awww.
The whole wheat rolls I bought from ShopRite went moldy in 2 days, so she made me some to replace them. She’s so cute!
And they were delicious! Unfortunately, the cantaloupe she spoke of in her note wasn’t. We cut it before it ripened enough.
Ooops! I was really looking forward to it, too. Boo.
Question: Has someone done something nice for you this week?
Don’t forget to contact me about having your blog backed up! Or if you need a blog move, design, or redesign, hit me up.

Today was a day I was really glad my stuff was on Bluehost
Watch, as I say that, BH will be cursed next week. THAT would be my luck.
But it totally reinforces that yes, blog insurance and backups are 100% SMART!!!!
Your mom..that is sooo sweet.
Anything nice this week? Yes, I have only had a couple troll-ish comments. Down from my usual one per day

Have a great week Jenn!
That is one terrific looing dish, Jenn. Yum! … and it’s only 8:55 am. What is my tummy thinking?!
So nice to have someone bake fresh rolls for you. They look great.
As for blog backups, I use bluehost but not sure how much faith I can put in that. I’m the WORST at backing up any files.
What a great mom! My mom has been extra super awesome to me this week

Your mom is so cute – I bet those rolls were better than the ones from Shop-Rite!
I was just at my parents house for the weekend and my mom made all vegetarian meals for me – that was so nice of her!
I’m with Bluehost also. Was with Godaddy and my site was always really REALLY slow! I think your right though, backing it up is really important!
I love your place mats! Great color!
