Ever since I did my semi-raw diet experiment last summer I’ve had a new appreciation for raw foods. I’ve been fascinated by the preparation techniques and creativity of it for awhile, and obviously I have always eaten raw foods in one way or another, but there are so many raw foods that I never would have imagined wanting to eat. Like for instance: Raw crackers and raw tacos! The possibilities are endless. And now that summery weather is here, it’s rekindling my passion for eating more raw foods.
Yesterday, nothing sounded better for lunch than a plate loaded with raw goodies. I bought this bag of GoRaw super cookies a few months ago and have been nibbling on them slowly, trying to ration out the yumminess so I don’t run out, lol. They’re tasty enough to eat the whole bag in one sitting, though!!
Only 3 ingredients but SO much flavor! They’re SO GOOD! Next time I go to Mother Earth’s or Nature’s Pantry I hope to find another flavor, maybe a savory one.
I had some for lunch along with a bunch of other raw and cooked nibbles.
- Raw celery sticks (LOVE the leaves!!!) sprinkled with nutritional yeast
- Raw baby carrots
- Raw Go Raw original super cookies
- Lindsay low sodium black olives
- Dill pickle
- Scoop of Fage full-fat Greek yogurt
- Pace picante
Tiny bubbles…
Seltzer is another summery-weather favorite.
I need to get a CO2 tank like we had at the stand!
Yummy! Fun to eat, too.
Do you enjoy eating raw foods? What are some of your favorites? There’s a bunch of raw recipes all over the ‘sphere that I am dying to try, like: Gena’s Raw Goat Cheese and Averie’s Raw Cheezy Kale Chips and Christine’s Hemp Seed Alfredo Sauce and Raw Eggplant BACON!
It’s much less humid today—thankfully! But SHE just rolled into town, so I have a whole new type of discomfort today, haha. Off to eat and then I have another post on last night’s dinner, which was SO YUM! I decided the lima bean pasta salad wasn’t recipe-worthy, so I’m not going to be posting that, but last night’s dinner made up for it.
Be back soon!

For some reason when I saw that plate of food all I could focus on was the pickle! Looks so good.
For some reason I just don’t like raw food
For me, I could eat and eat and never feel fully satisfied, and yet my stomach gets all crampy because the food is either very bulky or very heavy and dense. I find the texture of most dehydrated things kind of off-putting, and I just get no comfort factor from raw food. That being said, I’m glad other people seem to enjoy raw food. More baked goodies for me

That brand GO RAW is awesome. They make like a “fruit leather” with an orange wrapper, I think it’s apricots and peach with seeds…when skylar was a baby and was teething, she used to gnaw on those things and this was back in the day that ONLY organic food touched her mouth and I didnt mind paying$$ for those things
The whole line is fabulous!
Gorgeous plate of raw goodies! Thanks for the shout out, I have a huge wish list of recipes to try. And I need to add the raw eggplant bacon to it now!
I like raw foods! My favorites are (and will always be) green smoothies and a lovely tomato salad.
I love the raw foods that I’ve tried from Whole Foods. I also bought a raw cookbook, and want to make some of the salads and crackers from it. Thanks for sharing the raw recipes on this post too! Have a good weekend.
I love raw foods! I think I mostly like fresh fruits and veggies, but I definitely like dehydrated snacks too. And of course, green smoothies! I feel like if I lived somewhere where the temp was always hot I’d be a high raw foodist. I crave fresh raw things all summer long, but not as much during hte cold winter.
Gorgeous colors! The only raw food I’ve ever tried though are sushi and maki.
