It’s That Sort of Day

by j3nn on September 29, 2011

A rainy, laidback, Fall day. The sort of day to stay inside and whine to whomever will listen about HER being in town.

The sort of day where you stay in your PJs all day…

Ok, maybe that’s just me.

The sort of day that you aren’t going anywhere, no one is coming over, and you feel like you’re a million miles away from the rest of the world. If only in your daydreams.

The sort of day that you are feeling blah and sweet isn’t enough, you have to invite salty to the party, too.

The sort of day to indulge in a bowl ramekin of chocolate ice cream kissed with truffle salt

Oh my GOODNESS! Yes, it’s that sort of day.

Rich and sweet with a touch of salty. It was heavenly. And it’s just what I needed on this sort of day…

What do you need today?

We’re going to look at a house tomorrow. We were pre-approved for a mortgage yesterday. It’s only the first step of a looooooong, agonizing process, but so worth it in the end. I’ll keep you updated on our progress. I’m so excited! But not so much today. SHE is here and making me miserable. I’m exhausted and the rain is not helping. Sad smile Time for more salted ice cream! haha j/k

By the way, if you’re wondering about the tiny orange spoon, you can buy dessert spoons on Amazon. The one in the pics above came with a cup from Pier 1, but these dessert spoons look identical to it.

hope you feel better – that ice cream sounds amazing with the salt…

I realized after you commented this morning that most of my post didn’t even show up! Thanks for leaving a comment anyway! :D

I love rainy/cold/pj days – it’s like an excuse not to do anything. Good luck on the house hunt! I’ve only bought two houses in my life, but they were both kinda painful processes. But it’s worth it in the end!
