Happy birthday to me!
Today, we’re going to New Jersey to do some things that we can’t do in NY, such as having lunch at Chick-Fil-A! Then, we’re going to see The Muppets Movie because I’m actually turning 3.2 today, not 3.2 decades.
After the Muppets, we’re going to Trader Joe’s because the closest one to our house here in the Catskills is actually in NJ and I only get to go like once or twice a year—hoping that will change when they open a store or ten stores in our area someday (soon)! Or when I convince Dustin that we should actually live in NJ. Kidding, of course. Not even Trader Joe’s is worthy of that. Then again… heh
We might do some other shopping if we have time, we’re already running behind schedule today, though. Aren’t we always?! lol
We plan to go to Joe’s Crab Shack for dinner because we loved it when we were in Florida but of course, there isn’t one anywhere in NY!
NJ is somewhat close—as close as most of our other destinations away from the mountain–so we decided to make a day of it because that’s how we roll.
My actual party isn’t until the end of the week, so today is sort of a pre-celebration.
Time to get going, there are Muppets to see, crab to eat, and oodles of tolls to pay in NJ!

Happy BDAY!!!!! Happy 21st, don’t get too drunk tonite and wake up with a nasty hangover in the a.m. Nothing worse than starting your 2nd decade of life, hung over
And good luck finding a Joes. When we lived in Myrtle Beach, we lived 3 blocks from one. I smelled more fried crab grease and fried food smell living there to last me a lifetime. lol
Just got internet back up after 18 hrs down. Nothing like that Caribbean DSL predictability. Thus, my email plans last nite to you were blown.

Greasy smell from Joe’s Crab Shack?! Weird! Almost all of their menu is steamed shellfish, except the appetizers. Sounds like a bad one!

It coulda been the fact that it was Myrtle Beach, that everything there was fried…LOL Steamed? what’s that?
Or any number of the Nascar Cafe, Dixieland Stampede restaurants… <— and yes, those are real, not made up names!
As a vegetarian yogi, you can see why I moved to Cali after living there a few years…lol

Thanks, Fran! Yeah, our closest Trader Joe’s is in NJ even though there are some in NY. No plans that I know of for our area either, but I’ll have to look into that. I’d be very happy to hear of a new opening; we have so many busy cities nearby, I’m actually surprised we don’t have one yet! I’ll email them and beg them.

THANKS! Found out that the Joe’s Crab Shack in NJ wasn’t *quite* as good as the one in Orlando, but it will do until we get back to your warm home turf.
