We live about 3 minutes away from the Orange County Choppers showroom but have never visited there until last Friday when it was a request made by Dustin’s sister and her husband. Dustin’s dad is a huge fan of the show, but we haven’t really watched it much. We pass by the building all the time, so it’s like NBD to us. It’s a bigger deal to fans from Ohio, I guess! I suppose people that live in Hollywood feel the same way. Business as usual when Jennifer Aniston is standing beside them online at Starbucks.
Maybe I should have a j3nn.net bike built? They do have mopeds and manual bicycles in the showroom, maybe that would be more fitting.
True story: I used to have a Honda moped when I was a teenager. It was black and purple. I ADORED that thing. I definitely want another someday!
We stopped by OCC on our way to my Aunt Gina and Uncle Brian’s house on the mountain aka Sullivan county. We had plans with them to shoot our guns. We’re a gun-lovin’ family.
Dustin shoots. Brian shoots. Pito shoots.
My aunts shoot. I shoot.
My grandma shoots!
My sister-in-law, Ashley shoots. Her husband, Michael, shoots.
We dig it.
Dustin and Brian are extremely good. I guess 6+ years of being an army weapons instructor will do that. Dustin… he just honed his skills with a BB gun at an early age, haha.
His weapon of choice now is his AR-15. He also prefers using an iron sight to a scope.
I’m partial to my Ruger Mini-14 with a scope. But I’ll shoot anything if necessary. heh
Positioned to hit the explosive target.
1 shot… miss. Second shot… he hit the lid cleanly off the jar!
Scalper.
3rd shot… BOOM!
Not as big of an explosion as the larger sized ones we used previously:
We like blowing stuff up.
We also like eating. We picked up dinner at Mix N Mac to bring to their house. Dustin and I are the only ones who have had it, so we wanted the others to try it. Everyone liked it, of course. I had the same one as last time: Mushroom with tuna + broccoli added
Mix N Mac is always a good choice.
Ashley and Michael left later that night—3:00AM! Those crazy kids. It was cool to hang out with them. They’re a super sweet couple. Our 4 days of speed touring wiped me out. I needed a few days of much-needed rest after they left. Having fun is SO exhausting! haha
Guess what? I met with my new Paleo-minded doc! I got the results from my hormone tests during our hour-long visit. The things she told me about my test results and anemia and their relation to my digestion problems were MIND-BLOWING!
I’m so happy I found her! She is incredible. As far as I’m concerned she is the new standard of medical care. Conventional med school rhetoric is out, cause-and-effect health hackers are in!
I’m going to keep you in suspense until my next post, but I have some really interesting things to share with you. I’m very excited and actually hopeful about this despite the poor state my health is currently in.
Finally, some answers! Great answers!! Or at the very least some really good leads on where to begin healing.

oh i am SO HAPPY for you for the doctor and for the answers!!!! Jenn, seriously, I bet you feel so relieved and like some of the pieces of the puzzle are sort of coming together – anything is better than where you were at. Knowledge is power!
And can’t believe you live so close to Orange Co Choppers!
