The Best of 2012

by j3nn on December 31, 2012

2012 has been a year to remember for me. While there have been many stressful times along the way (mainly health-related), I want to celebrate all of the wonderful things that have happened this year because I believe they are far superior to any of the bad and sad things.

In 2012…

We moved into our new house!

(I know I haven’t gotten to a house tour post yet, sorry! Haven’t forgotten.)

Here are some (poor-quality) pics from the original real estate listing. Not my pics or our furnishings!

I promise I’ll do a full tour post at the very beginning of 2013. Open-mouthed smile

I traveled to places I’ve never been to before.

New Hampshire to campaign for the person responsible for curing my apathy: Dr. Ron Paul

Ithaca, NY, where we had lunch with Ron Paul and his family.

And I traveled to favorite places that I love to visit over and over.

New York City with Dustin’s sister and her husband:

Howe Caverns

I learned about and adopted the philosophy of the non-aggression principle and made new friends and formed new relationships with many fantastic people.

I added several recipes to my collection that I’ll make again and again.

Gluten-free, Grain-free Paleo Flatbread

Chocolate Avocado No-Milk Shake

Cilantro-lime Rice Chipotle Copycat

Low-carb Grain-free Gluten-free Bread Rolls

Low-carb Pumpkin Pie with Snickerdoodle Crust (Paleo, low-carb, grain-free, sugar-free)

Mayo-free Vegan Coleslaw

Paleo Spinach Crepes

Tapioca Grain-free Bread Rolls (Chebe mix)

Thank you to all of my faithful readers for another spectacular year. I get emails from people telling me they have been reading my blog since the very beginning – over 5 years now! Wow! I am so grateful. I hope we’ll continue to be friends for many years to come. Stay in touch with me on Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter for off-blog updates, ideas, recipes, pictures, and more.

Wishing all of YOU a healthy, peaceful, and prosperous 2013! Red heart   Peace

Happy New Year, my friends!

That pink cake stand the crepes are on – I want it. And I want the Cilantro-lime Rice and normally I gloss over savory food but that just looks and sounds so good – so do your rolls and breads and it’s amazing what you’ve pulled off in the kitchen given the parameters you’re working with!

Congrats on becoming a homeowner this year, too! And I hope you and D have a wonderful 2013 :)

Happy New Year, j3nn! Love hearing about your dietary adventures. Could one of your resolutions be to unpack all your festive & seasonal plates? I miss them
